Overview
The University of Skövde in Sweden is offering Master’s Scholarships for international students starting in 2024. These scholarships, previously known as UHR Scholarships, are now called the University of Skövde Master’s Scholarships.
They are designed to support high-achieving students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland who are required to pay tuition fees.
Scholarship Benefits
- Covers 50% of the tuition fee for your Master’s program.
- The awarded amount will be automatically deducted from your tuition invoice.
- Initially granted for one academic semester, but it may be extended if you maintain good academic standing.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.
- Apply for a campus-based Master’s program at the University of Skövde.
- Choose the University of Skövde program as your first priority on universityadmissions.se.
- Meet all entry requirements and application deadlines set by University Admissions.
- Pay the application fee and submit all required documents on time.
- Fill out the online scholarship application form completely.
- Submit a motivation text explaining why you chose the program.
- Submit a 2-minute video presenting your goals and how the program will help you achieve them.
Note: Applicants must be able to finance the remaining tuition fee and cover living expenses in Sweden.
Selection Criteria
Scholarships are awarded based on:
- Academic merit
- Motivation text
- Submitted video
- Additional factors such as geographic location or alignment with the university’s educational and research priorities may also be considered.
Application Process
- Apply for a Master’s program at the University of Skövde through www.universityadmissions.se.
- Create a 2-minute video explaining:
- Why you want to study at the University of Skövde.
- How you plan to use the knowledge gained from the program.
- Upload this video to a platform where it can be viewed via a link (do not send downloads).
- Write a motivation text stating your reasons for choosing the program.
- Submit the online scholarship application form, including:
- Your 8-digit application number from University Admissions.
- A link to your video.
- Your motivation text.
